The screen adaptation of Trash Story is a horror film about a haunted house in which the demons of history torture the current residents. In a small town in the Regained Territories (land taken from Germany and given to Poland after World War II) there stands an old house, previously inhabited by Germans. In it there meet the Mother, the Widow, the Son – and the ghost of a little German girl who lived in the house with her family, and who died along with them near the end of the war.
