Hanoch Departs Without a Word

The play draws on facts from the life of Israeli dramatist, poet and stage director Hanoch Levin. It is not a biography, though, but a poetic parable about a man on his deathbed return-ing in his mind to a country and people who no longer exist. With its unique sense of humour, verging on the grotesque, the play is a moving meditation on the subject of death.
