An old miner, a Silesian insurgent, and his family occupy one of the last detached houses on the edge of a large-scale construction site of a new housing estate. He tears apart his certificate of occupancy given by the housing cooperative. The miner does not want to live in a block of flats. He has no intention of giving up his house.
