The fate of an experienced soldier of the People's Army of Poland, who in 1946 goes with a battalion to the Bieszczady Mountains. In the heat of fights with the Ukrainian Banderites and the anti-communist underground, he tries to save his life, the perspective of a civilian and serenity.
