A group of friends who studied together at the Warsaw University of Technology and whose lives were shaped by the events of March 1968 reunite years later. They come together to help one of their own, an engineer from a small town who has dared to expose his superior's plagiarism. His wife and two former university friends—a journalist and the head of a housing cooperative—join forces to support him.
