The stories of three men, victims of border conflicts in the former Soviet Union, whose wars have separated them from their families. Aleksei is a young man from Nagorno-Karabakh who moved to Donetsk, soon to be taken over by separatists. Timur, a Ukrainian soldier, packs up his family to move from Crimea to Lviv. Aleksander, a veteran of the war in Afghanistan, will see his sister again after several decades.
