The action of the film takes place at a summer camp for young couples. Holidaymakers take part in an "exemplary family" competition. A washing machine is the prize for the winners of the competition. Such a thing is priceless in the Polish People’s Republic. The rivalry, appropriately stimulated by the filmmakers, becomes a pretext to show the mechanisms present in a totalitarian society.
