The film is a documentary portrait of a peasant worker who lives in the village of Roznica together with his family. He cultivates his land there, he also commutes to his Railways job from there. The film is one of the first Polish documentaries focusing on individual protagonist - after "A Year in the Life of Franek W." (1967) by Kazimierz Karabasz.
