One of several films by the Hoffman-Skorzewski duo made as a part of the "black series" of Polish documentaries. It shows social problems hidden from viewers until the mid-1950s. The problems were masked with typical productions of socialist realism. The effects of alcoholism are the theme of the film. Unfortunately, children become innocent victims of that addiction.
