At the turn of September and October, the 6th National Congress of the ‘Solidarity’ Independent Self-Governing Trade Union is held in Mielec. After losing the elections in 1993, ‘Solidarity’ did not enter the Sejm. During the congress some questions concerning the future of the union were raised by activists and Marian Krzaklewski, the chairman of the union.
