Residents of Katowice have been drinking water from the Goczalkowice Reservoir, created by damming water on the Vistula and flooding several towns, including Zarzecze. Inhabitants of the flooded areas and their descendants currently live in Pszczyna, Wisla Wielka and Chybie. They remember the time when they had to move out.
