Nowy Wisnicz – a fortified stronghold of the Kmita family later belonging to the Lubomirski family. Due to the decision made by the king Zygmunt August, Nowy Wisnicz acquired municipal rights. Nowadays, the city is known mainly for the prison where recidivists are imprisoned. This place was chosen cameramen of the Polish Film Chronicle to show on the election day, which is the 19th of September.
