From 14 to 16 August, a congress of Polish veterans from all parts of the world was organized in Warsaw. In the presence of veterans, flower wreaths were placed on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, a mass was held, and President Lech Wałęsa gave a speech. The ceremony ended with a parade of veterans.
