At the end of May of 1992, Antoni Macierewicz announced he had a list of politicians, who had cooperated with the secret services of the Polish People’s Republic. President Lech Wałęsa asked for an immediate dismissal of the government of Prime Minister Jan Olszewski. During the night of 5 and 6 June, the House of Commons dismissed the government. Waldemar Pawlak became the new Prime Minister.
