Opposition against the rises in energy prices is strong. On 13 January, the “Solidarity” union proclaimed a general strike, and 3 days later, the same was done by the All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions and by “Solidarity 1980”. Young people are increasingly frequently becoming beneficiaries of social assistance. Not long ago, everyone chanted “Soviets go home”, and now it turns out that the Soviet Union no longer exists.
