The youth of Poland. Victory in the war meant freedom and a unique chance to rebuild the country. The youth brigades set off. New settlers, most of them young and ambitious, looking for opportunities, travelled West. Young people built Warsaw, Nowa Huta, Nowe Tychy, Kędzierzyn, the shipyards of Gdynia and Szczecin.
