Stefan Jaracz Ateneum Theatre. The greatest Polish actor of the prewar years, he made theatre the blood of his life. In 1930, he became a director of the Theatre. He made Ateneum a living, present-day, useful theatre - a theatre of progressive social thought. He died in August 1945. Today, Ateneum follows the ideological and artistic testament of its patron.
