During his visit, General de Gaulle stays at the Wawel Castle. In Cracow, he visits Nowa Huta, the Main Market Square, St. Mary's Church, and the Jagiellonian University. The next day, he lays a wreath in Auschwitz and goes to Silesia. In Zabrze, he gives a speech that ends with the following phrase: "Viva Zabrze, the most Polish city in Poland!”.
