This episode is entirely devoted to the funeral of Aleksander Zawadzki (1899-1964), a chairman of the State Council (1952-64), a pre-war activist of the KPP and then an activist of the PPR and PZPR. After the war, Zawadzki was a governor of Silesia and a Deputy Prime Minister. He was buried at the Powazki Military Cemetery in Warsaw.
