The 17th Olympic Games that take place in Rome have been opened. Belka and Strelka (dogs that had been sent into space) returned to Earth. Teaching aids, books and school supplies are being produced - a new school year is near. The premiere of Tadeusz Rozewicz's "Kartoteka" takes place at the Warsaw Drama Theater. The play is directed by Wanda Laskowska. The lead roles are played by Jozef Para and Wanda Luczycka.
