The Warsaw Smelter receives a rolling mill and frees itself from troublesome partners. The Tadeusz Kosciuszko monument returns to Wawel. Actually, it’s a copy of the original monument that was destroyed by the Nazis during the war. The copy is a gift from the residents of Dresden. The 100th anniversary of the birth of Jan Kasprowicz is celebrated in Harenda (Zakopane).
