The "Professor Huber" ship is launched. It’s the first Polish vessel with a capacity of 19 000 tonnes. The largest ship on the Baltic Sea – American "Titan" with a capacity of 40 000 tonnes – brings grain to Poland. A 50.000 kW turbine is built in the Zamech plant in Elblag.
