Boleslaw Bierut dies in Moscow on the 12th of March 1956. First funeral services are organized in the capital city of the Soviet Union, then the cortege moves to the airport. In Warsaw, the body of the president, Prime Minister, and 1st secretary of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers’ Party could be seen in the building of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers’ Party. The official funeral takes place on the 16th of March.
