Viva the 1st of May! The May celebrations last two days. The Peace Race starts on the 2nd of May at the Polish Army Stadium. 21 teams from 20 countries, including Soviet cyclists for the first time. The 1st stage of the race is won by Pole Mieczyslaw Wilczewski. In the evening, concerts and parties in squares of Warsaw.
