The first Victory Day celebrations. At Saski Square (now Victory Square), in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier listing the key WWII battles, a Roll Call of the Fallen is held. The next day, in the presence of the president, prime minister, and commander-in-chief, a parade of all branches of the armed forces takes place.
