Wolves' Echoes

The most popular and successful Polish „easter” movie – a film based on the western film convention, though the plot takes places in Poland. A typical western plot is but a pretext for a dynamic adventure full of chases, fights and shoot-outs, set in the wild scenery of the Bieszczady mountains. Authentic police protocols were used as a basis for the film script. The lead role was portrayed by the Estonian actor and singer Bruno O’Ya who was dubbed by Bogusz Bilewski due to linguistic problems. The western style is emphasized not only by beautiful landscapes of Polish mountain ranges, but also a well-tailored country-style score by Wojciech Kilar. A retired soldier hast to single-handedly take on a group of bandits who are terrorizing a small town.
