The screenplay was based on a radio play “Prawie tysiąc czwartków” by Jerzy Janicki and Andrzej Mularczyk, legendary screenwriters who also worked together on the TV series “Dom”. Mularczyk is also known for his trilogy about the Kargul and Pawlak families, while Janicki’s most renowned achievements include the TV series “Polskie drogi” and “Ballada o Januszku”.
