The last film by Jerzy Zarzycki, who was seriously ill during the shoot and died shortly after the premiere. The script, based on his own novel and personal experiences, was written by Jerzy Stefan Stawiński, an outstanding writer who cooperated with the best Polish artists, a co-author of the success of the Polish film school and the author of the scripts for such masterpieces as “Kanał”, “Eroica” and “Pułkownik Kwiatkowski”.
