The village of Nowe Piaseczno, destroyed during the battles for the Warka–Magnuszew bridgehead, is flourishing after 10 years. Doctor Srokowska and the staff of a Warsaw clinic regularly visit cooperative members in Wiązowna, while a student folk ensemble performs in Kiczki. A new horse breed: the Sztum horse.
